Live Auditions for the 1st Grade of Secondary School – Royal Ballet School Antwerp

Are you a young dancer with a passion for ballet and a dream of professional dance training? This is your chance! The Royal Ballet School Antwerp is organizing live auditions for students currently in the 6th grade of primary school or the 1st year of secondary school who wish to enroll in the 1st or 2nd grade of secondary school.

Why participate in the audition? This audition is an opportunity for us to evaluate your talent, technique, and potential as a dancer. It’s the first step toward joining our prestigious school, where artistic development and academic education go hand in hand. We offer an inspiring environment where talent is nurtured, and dreams become reality.

Who can participate?

· Students in the 6th grade of primary school

· Students in the 1st year of secondary school

What to expect? The audition consists of a dance class where we assess:

· Your technical skills

· Musicality and expression

· Physical potential and motivation

Audition Schedule

GROUP 1 (audition for B1)

· 13:30: Registration for Group 1

· 14:30 – 15:30: Classical Ballet Audition

· 15:45 – 16:15: Contemporary Dance Audition

· 16:15 – 16:55: Optional screening by a physiotherapist

· From 17:00: Pick-up via the artist entrance of Het Paleis

GROUP 2 (audition for B2)

· 15:45: Registration for Group 2

· 16:45 – 17:45: Classical Ballet Audition

· 18:00 – 18:30: Contemporary Dance Audition

· 18:30 – 19:10: Optional screening by a physiotherapist

· From 19:15: Pick-up via the artist entrance of Het Paleis
